Performance review examples customer service

Personal performance reviews, also known as self-reviews, are a way for you, the employee, to communicate to your employer all of the valuable assets that you bring to the company, supporting your claims with evidence based on your past work. For an employee in customer service, this includes primarily customer feedback via recorded phone calls, comment cards or personal correspondence sent in by clients. Writing an honest personal performance review that will get your achievements noticed without sounding entitled or arrogant requires proper wording and gathering of necessary facts.

Gather information about your service performance from past clients and customers with whom you have had direct interaction. Use submitted comment cards to which you have access. Ask your HR department to allow you to listen to any recorded phone calls you have had with customers. Write down direct quotes from these calls, including a customer name and date of the call. Gather numerical data which shows how your specific department has improved with your contributions.
Begin your report with a paragraph explaining the goal you wish to achieve by writing this performance review. Explain what reward or compensation you are trying to earn by proving your excellence in customer service. Do not be shy about explaining your desire to gain more responsibilities, a higher paying position or a transfer to a different department.
Outline your greatest accomplishments first. Focus on major clients or other contracts of which you have been a part. Include any clients that are core to the company's growth or sustainability. Include client names that are sure to be noticed by management due to their importance or connection with the company.
List the examples of customer satisfaction that you have gathered in Step 1. List as many quotes or facts as possible in context when referring to the clients you listed in Step 3. Include any superb recommendations from other customers, even if they are less well-known. Note the name of the client providing the feedback, the date the feedback was received and the source of the feedback, such as comment card, letter, email or phone call.
Maintain complete honesty and transparency in your performance review. Although you are trying to paint yourself in a pleasing light for your manager, lying or enhancing your performance in an untruthful manner may be cause for firing you from the company at a later time.
Ask coworkers whom you trust to review your self-evaluation and tell you whether it is accurate. Ask for constructive criticism that is will help you improve your report, and check to make sure that the impression they receive from reading it once is one of confidence, not arrogance.
